The series “The Outlaws,” starring Ma Dong Seok, has set a new record at the Korean box office.
On May 13 at 7:30 AM local time, “The Roundup: Punishment,” the fourth and latest film in the “The Outlaws” series, officially reached a total of 9,756,978 viewers after dominating the box office for three consecutive weeks.
According to Soompi, on Monday (May 13), as a result, the “The Outlaws” series has now attracted over 40 million viewers across its four films, making it the first Korean film series in history to surpass the 40 million viewers mark.
The first “The Outlaws” film attracted a total of 6,880,546 viewers during its run, the second (“The Roundup”) attracted a total of 2,693,415 viewers, and the third (“The Roundup: No Way Out”) attracted a total of 10,682,813 viewers.
Meanwhile, “The Roundup: Punishment” recently became the fastest film in the “The Outlaws” series to surpass 9 million viewers, as well as the fastest Korean film released in 2024 to reach this milestone.
